A bed frame with storage can neatly stow bedding, clothes or seldom-used items, freeing up space in a bedroom, teenager's room or guest room. However, the constructions vary significantly. A budget-friendly model isn't automatically suitable if the opening mechanism, mattress size or room dimensions haven't been considered.

The description bed 90x200 cm, bed 140x200 cm, bed 160x200 cm or bed 180x200 cm usually refers to the required mattress size, not the overall size of the furniture. Before ordering, you should therefore measure wall clearances, doors, radiators and any existing bedside tables.
A bed without mattress offers more choice when selecting a mattress, but requires an additional purchase step. Also check the recommended mattress height. For a 180 × 200 cm model with hydraulic storage, for example, a mattress thickness of 20 to 25 cm is specified.
