The search for a stylish and long-lasting decoration for the living room or office leads many to building sets for adults. The LEGO Botanical Collection, in particular, is incredibly popular as it combines a creative building experience with a low-maintenance decorative object. However, not every set delivers on its promise. Before you make a decision, it's helpful to know the common pitfalls that can lead to disappointment.
A common problem is unstable construction. A model might look impressive on the box but prove to be fragile and wobbly after assembly. Such pieces are difficult to move or clean and quickly lose their appeal. Another point is the quality of materials and colors. Inferior plastics can have inconsistent colors or fade over time, which severely compromises the model's aesthetic. Finally, the specified size can be misleading, causing the finished object to be smaller than expected and get lost in the room.
To make an informed decision, you should consider three key parameters. These will help you objectively evaluate the quality and suitability of a building set like the LEGO 10369 Plum Blossom.
A good decorative building set is characterized by a well-thought-out design that ensures stability. Check whether the set includes a solid base, such as an integrated pot or a stand. The LEGO System is known for its precise and firm connections, which guarantee a durable model. The LEGO 10369 Plum Blossom, for example, comes with a pastel-blue flowerpot and a wood-effect stand, giving the finished model a secure footing right from the start.
The quality of the materials used is crucial for appearance and longevity. High-quality ABS plastic, as used by LEGO, guarantees high color vibrancy and resistance to fading. Unlike some artificial plum blossoms made from cheaper materials, LEGO plants retain their color intensity for years. The vibrant red and magenta tones of the Plum Blossom are a great example of the precise color design that creates a realistic appearance.
The number of parts gives an indication of the level of detail and the complexity of the building experience. A building set for adults with flowers should offer a balance between a relaxing build time and an appealing final result. With 327 pieces, the LEGO Plum Blossom offers a manageable yet engaging project. The finished decoration reaches a height of 34 cm, which is a prominent but not overwhelming size for most living spaces.

Since the models are made of plastic, they are very easy to care for. To remove dust, a soft brush, a microfiber cloth, or a small air blower (like those used for cleaning camera lenses) is recommended. Cleaning with water or detergents is not advised in order to preserve the stickers and the brilliance of the bricks.
