Self-adhesive wall stickers can transform walls, doors, furniture or windows without drilling, painting or major renovation work. The choice ranges from a small wall decal to a large marble-effect film. But the design alone doesn’t guarantee a great result. The surface, material, size and care requirements all affect how well the decoration sticks with minimal bubbling and how easily it can be removed later.
Terms such as ‘removable’ don’t mean the same thing for every product. A sticker may peel away from its backing paper easily, but still leave residue when removed from delicate paint or wallpaper. Freshly painted walls, textured wallpaper and unsealed surfaces are particularly at risk.
