Function of Various Materials
Watercolor markers and watercolor tubes are used with water on special watercolor paper. The watercolor from the tubes allows you to color large areas, while the markers are great for drawing lines and adding color accents, where you can slightly blur the outlines.
Acrylic paint is water-based and dries quickly, allowing you to paint layer by layer. Acrylic paint adheres to almost any surface.
Oil paint is very versatile and offers beautiful color depth. It can be used both opaquely and transparently, and is also ideal for wet-on-wet painting. It dries slowly, allowing you to work on a painting for several days. Oil paint has been proven in painting since the 15th century, used in works by famous Dutch masters.
As the name suggests, oil pastels contain oil, giving your drawing strong, vibrant colors. This technique can be combined with watercolors, as the oil in the pastels repels the water in the paint. By drawing lines with oil pastels, you can easily paint areas with watercolor, keeping them cleanly separated.
With colored pencils, you can build your drawing layer by layer, blend colors, and create different shadings. Many people find coloring with pencils relaxing, and it can produce beautiful results.
Sturdy Wooden Case
All the materials are neatly and orderly stored in a sturdy black case made from sustainable FSC wood. The case has two layers on each side that open with metal hinges, so you can see exactly where everything is and access it easily when needed. Finished with your artwork? Slide the layers back in and close the case with the two metal clips. With the handle, you can also easily take the case with you.
